Frequently Asked Questions

The cost of your session depends on your insurance coverage or if you are a private-pay client. If you plan to use insurance, you can call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to confirm your mental health benefits and ask what you would owe for a therapy session.
For private-pay clients, our standard rate is $150 per 60-minute session. Please reach out if you have any questions about fees or payment options.
Autumn Mind Counseling is actively working to become in-network with TriWest, Select Health, and Kaiser Permanente.
As of March 2026, we are in-network with Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, UMR, Cigna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, and Colorado Medicaid. We are still awaiting final approval from all the other insurance companies. Updates will be shared here and on our social media pages once contracts are finalized.
Additionally, Autumn Holmes is an approved mental health provider for Mesa County's Crime Victim Compensation Program. Please reach out for more information.
We offer both in-person and online (telehealth) sessions to best meet your needs and comfort level.
Yes. We use a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform that encrypts all video and audio to protect your privacy. We also recommend joining your virtual session from a private, quiet space where you feel comfortable speaking openly.
Getting started is simple. Click “Schedule a Consult” to book a brief consultation with one of our clinicians. During this call, we’ll discuss your goals, answer any questions, and decide together on the best next steps for your care.
The time we reserve for you is dedicated solely to your care. To respect both your time and your clinician’s, late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) and no-shows are subject to a $100 fee.
A no-show includes appointments canceled less than one hour before the start time, arriving or logging in more than 15 minutes late, or not attending the session at all.
Some insurance plans have their own policies we must follow—please reach out if you’d like to review those details.
At this time, Autumn Mind Counseling is only able to provide therapy to clients who are physically located in Colorado at the time of their sessions.
That’s a great question! You may notice that we use “we” and “our” throughout the website. At this time, Autumn Holmes is the owner and sole clinician at Autumn Mind Counseling. However, we plan to grow in the near future and welcome additional therapists to our team.
Updates will be shared here and on our social media pages as the practice expands.
